A Unicorn-themed First Communion party

When Laia's mother came to ask us to set up her First Communion party with a Unicorn theme, it was quite a challenge. We were very excited about the commission, but we knew that it was not easy to design an elegant First Communion party that did not look like a children's birthday party. I think we did it, what do you think? You would throw a Unicorn party for a First Communion party.

As we know that Unicorns are still a fever among girls and many of them will surely ask you for it, I leave you with photos of the one we put together for Laia recently. It surely inspires you and gives you ideas to decorate a Unicorn party, elegant and very sweet.

1,2,3 we start...

The site chosen by the family was a room in the garden of the Fairmont hotel in Barcelona. It was the blue room, a very large room, with very high sky-blue ceilings and large windows with white curtains that overlook the hotel garden.

We wanted the room to look decorated and achieve the optical effect of lowering the ceiling to make it cozy for approximately 60 guests.

Almost in the middle of the room, we had a pillar that we used as a support for a large organic garland of latex balloons with the colors of the rainbow in pastel tones . In addition to a large poster designed for the party that welcomed the guests.

We had to decorate 6 large round tables with a white tablecloth. We use large XL balloons in the same pastel colors as the garland, inflated with helium and decorated with fabric ribbons. We also add groups of 3 and 5 glass bottles of different shapes with seasonal flowers and our personalized posters for centerpieces from the Happy Girl collection of our Shop.

Laia loved this collection, when she came to see us at the store the first day. We used a lot of items that matched in color with the Unicorns. Perhaps this combination that scared us so much... was what made it take on the character of First Communion rather than a party.

Being a snack, the sweet table was the protagonist of the party. In this case, the back or bottom of the sweet table was necessary, since it helped us to make the room smaller by collecting everything a bit. We placed white tulle curtains, with little lights that gave it a magical touch. The photos were taken during the day and with a lot of light, but in the afternoon the effect was very beautiful.

The Meri Meri Unicorn garland was perfect for the background together with a large balloon decorated with tissue paper ribbons and personalized with Laia's name in matt gold.

It was very clear, what the party was most excited about was a cake and mini unicorn cupcakes. As always, we have Lolita Bakery. Lolita girls made us the most beautiful unicorns in the world. If they are already monkeys in live photos you can not imagine what they were. The mini unicorn cupcakes on the pink melamine stand were the best on the table. The Candy Bar had many details: confetti with gold stars, personalized labels of the theme and markers indicating each of the food, a Donuts stand that was a success, and disposable tableware from the gradient unicorn collection that is one of our Best Sellers in the shop and that gave an elegant touch to the party.

We set up a side table where there were souvenirs to give to the guests and some jars of sweets to give to the children from the Unicorns collection personalized with the name of Laia. Giving away our candy jars is always a hit.

We do not have photos of the party with the guests, nor of Laia's face when she saw the Candy Bar that we set up, but we know that both she and her parents were happy and it was a very nice day for the whole family.
